Bloody sunlight. When did the sun become so fucking bright? Maybe I’m dead. That could be possible, not that I’ve ever been one to believe in the whole bright light at the end of the tunnel shit. I suppose it could still be possible.

I am in my own bed, right? The sheets are the right color. Mattress is firm, but not hard as a rock. It sure as hell looks like my flat. It might be easier to tell once my head stops fucking pounding.

What the hell happened last night? I must have gotten so bladdered...son of a bitch.

I remember the pub. Jack was there. And maybe Tosh, but they didn’t come in until I was already shit faced. I think. Christ.

I suppose they wouldn’t have been surprised if I did do something daft. They’ve both known me long enough to know what to expect. For Christ’s sake, Tosh even had to cover for me my second week because I was hung over. Nothing new from me I suppose.

My head is killing me. I think I even dreamt last night that I was a bloody Olympic boxer. I must have gotten the shit beat out of me, because there is no way my fucking head would be pounding this much if I wasn’t.

Or maybe I really did get the shit kicked out of me at the pub last night. I don’t have the energy to go over and look in the mirror to find out. I don’t even think I have the energy to dial Tosh and tell her I need her to cover for my sorry ass again. She’s a smart one. She’ll figure it out. Tosh might be able to tell me what the hell happened last night too, if she really was there and I wasn’t imagining it.

All I know for sure, is that it must have been one hell of a night.
